Chiller placed in the cupboard is not operating efficiently.

The noise only happen when the compressor kick in. If the cupboard is fully enclosed, the hot air will be trap inside and you just wasting your electricity.

Do a comparison of memory in terms of heat generated from the first time you use the same chiller and present. If it is hotter than initially, you may want to check if filters/cooling coil is clogged with dirt/dust. For me, I do regular cleaning of air filter monthly to ensure best possible air flow within the chiller possible. Either that or your compressor is not working at optimum conditions as such, compressor is working harder and thus the heat generated.

In my experience Artica chiller is less noisy than other brands but I personally find it a bit too large for my liking even so. Thinking of upgrading to a 1/2 or 1/3 hp chiller to reduce the kick-in time.
