    hi guys...i bought a eheim 2213 recently.so how many double tap do i need actually?was told to buy 2.1 each for inlet and outlet.but understand there is a eheim single tap also.so how many of each kind do i need actually?can advise?

    It all depends, if you don't mind refilling the tubes each time you wash/clean the filter, you don't need the double taps. The double tap function as a cut off. You off the water flow for both the taps and you can leave you tubes in-site. You just remove your filter for cleaning without the need for removing the tubes.

    I advise 2 double taps. You can close all 4 taps, you can disconnect the hoses easily from the filter and not worry about the tank or filter water draining out.

    from what i hear, is to put the double tap as near to the inlet and outlet of the cannister as possible.and like wat u said it will be much more convenient for maintenance as u just close it and remove the cannister for maintenance.i tink my doubts are cleared.thx vinz.
