I have it as a foreground plant in my tank. An interesting and undemanding plant that will suit almost all tanks. My tank is a 2ft low tech tank and it grow slightly taller than those with a stronger light.

Flora: Anubias barteri var Nana, var "Gold" and "mini", Crypto Wendtii, C.parva, Marsilea Hirsuta, Flame Moss, Hygrophila Polysperma, H.Violacea & H.Corymbosa, US Fissiden
Fauna: Guppy, Pelvicachromis Pulcher, Nannacara Anomala, Laetacara Araguaiae 'Buckelkopf'
Yup, quite easy to grow, and grows quite fast too. Seaview near the place where they pack the fish has a tank with staurogyne foreground if you want to see how it looks. Plant also available at seaview but I don't like the way they pack the plant using rolled up filter wool.
Seaview selling it that way? I go there quite often but never really see them selling? How much per pack?

Thanks for all the info... Does it really cover the ground of the tank like those glosso or hc does??? Seems interesting about this plant... Want to give it a try so would like to ask all pro here some opinion...
This is quite strange. Staurogyne should be quite hardy plant although I won't say they are thriving in my tank but they are still doing fine after a year now in my low-tech tank. One thing I notice is that it is taller than usual due to my low light, and I do put in excel, macro and mico ferts regularly. They mix really well with Marsilea Hirsuta in the foreground and it looks quite natural to me.

It will take a very long time for Staurogyne to cover the entire foreground, you can try Marsilea Hirsuta, the so-called poor-man glosso, they will cover your foreground very fast. Another undemanding and hardy plant and some people do like its clover shape leaves, I do too.

Marsilea Hirsuta is readily available at C328 at $5 for a cup but not much quantity, I never see it at Seaview. You can see the marketplace for any member selling it too. My Marsilea Hirsuta is still spreading so I don't have enough to sell you.

My Staurogyne growing well. It's the plant between the rocks towards the back. Compared to the mini nanas on the rock and HC foreground.

My Staurogyne also grew tall like aquanoob, also because of low light.(YNWA) However my plant do creep abit but quite slow. Some melted in the process. But one thing they dont spreed as fast as glosso. It has a different feel when it grows taller. haha!
Nice tank and nice spread of hc... But hc need cold high light which cause easy algae bloom... C328 is too far for me... Still looking for a easy foreground plant...
Apistoinka, can share your tank's specification like size and light, co2, substrate etc? It will really help in deciding the easy foreground plant. I tried before many foreground ground like APP (Elatine Triandra), normal hairgrass, echno tenellus, crypto parva... but in my low tech tank, only Marsilea Hirsuta and Staurogyne manage to grow and spread. I am trying to get Sagittaria Subulata (Dwarf Sagittaria) next to grow and even Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis but this one is tougher to maintain.

Since you have a high-tech tank, you can try HC, glosso or riccia.
