Have you try before the Hygrophila family as the background? Hygrophila polysperma, corymbosa? Or the rotala family since you have bright light and co2. Some crypto and echino species also can be used as background plants.
Any suggestions of plants for the background? Prefer those that are to be planted into soil. I have high lights and using ferts & CO2.

Can hornwort be planted into soil? Will it be a good background plant?
Hornwort plant there is no roots, to insert into the soil can secure it. The growth rate is every fast you may have to trim it once every few days. It will grow even if you let it float on the tank.
