Hello, I'm new here, but not new to fish keeping.
I have two juvenile bolivian rams (4cm excluding tail) in my 18 gallon tank for about 3 months. The LFS that I bought them told me that one was a male and the other female. I was apprehensive about that as the rams lip lock and flare their fins (abt 3 times a day)but are not serious and swim together around at times. I need some help to identify their gender. Sorry for the bad pictures (taken from phone cam). 1st pic 'male', 2nd pic 'female'.

They are begaining to grow their fin extensions. The 'males' tube is smaller than the 'females' but I may get it wrong.
The other thing is where to buy White pool filter sand in Singapore?
Thanks in advance!
