It is an Electric Blue Ram, or carries the phenotype for this variant. However, why does it appear to be a Balloon-type Ram? The parents seem like ordinary Rams, unless they carry both the gene for the balloon deformity, and the Electric Blue form.

Back to Killies... slowly.

Really nice colour. How did you get them to breed?

I have no idea how this young Ram appear to be a balloon, there are a few of them that are balloon too. So is it possible for an ordinary Ram to carry balloon and electric blue gene? Are there electric blue balloon Ram available in the market? I had seen an ordinary one but not the balloon type.

woah very rare pcs you have..

Thanks. Good luck on the new rams.

It is obvious that your pair come from a lineage of Rams which have been crossed with normal blue, balloon and electric blue. The electric blue is recessive so without knowing their exact pedigree, it is difficult to know who crossed what and when.
For breeders who wish to sell their home bred Rams it is best to be very careful about keeping your different strains pure. It avoids this bad combination of traits and makes your normal shape Blue and Electric Blue Rams more desirable and valuable.
These are all just different forms of the same species so they will interbreed indiscriminately so it is up to breeders to avoid undesirable crosses.
Not that your fish are bad or pretty but the majority of serious fish keepers do not like balloon fish. They are more popular among more casual fish keepers.
