    Re: Salamender keeper

Hi Amar, welcome to the forum. For your information, this is a Singapore base forum but we do have quite an extensive international community here and we do discuss and talk about anything from fish, shrimps, crabs, frogs and salamanders but there are certain animals that are not allowed to be on sale here in Singapore. So discussion is still ok. Why not start a thread in the Vivarium section about your Axolotl and aquatic salamander, some photos would be nice!

    Re: Salamender keeper

    Hi welcome to AQ.

Axolotls and salamander keepers are few here because of the tough exotic pet laws in Singapore. Those that do, do not post often, if at all, in order not to attract attention from the authorities.

It's ok to discuss about exotic pet care, but please do not trade in any of them via AQ. It's ok to show photos of them.

Discussion about vivariums/terrariums etc are definitely ok.

Whites Tree Frog is legal here, so no problems regarding that pet.

By the way, it should be spelt as salamander. Spelling it correct is important to help members search the forum. Thanks.

    Re: Salamender keeper

I had many batches of them over the years starting from child/teenhood in the 1980's, taking a break through the 90's and then back into the hobby in the 2000's. Now, I don't have any and they are really hard to find nowadays. The authorities used to close one eye when it was just fire bellies, but when the more unusual stuff came in in the mid-late 2000s, the authorities cracked down and FBs also became less accessible.
