hey fellas! left the freshwater scene for more than a year and im back! well with a 1gallon tank only though
basic specs:
Tank : 25x18x13cm (1 gallon)
filter : 250l/hr tiny hang on filter
substrate : GeX red pack
flora : Taiwan moss & UG
fauna : probably just some shrimps
had an empty tank that i used to keep betta in my room lying around, friend wanted to passed me some UG and moss to kick start me again so why not!
bought some small wood, most wood were too big to fit and heck even the 3 smallest i found were still too big, 2 of them were protruding out.
its been so long since i tied moss to wood and plant plants into soil!
the lights are temporary till i find something suitable, will be going for LED.
tank will be in AC room everynight and day time door would be close, most likely will get some sakura to keep that will be all!
any idea if i should dose anything for the UG? excel? i hope it survives!

bought a nice sleek looking Up Pro C2 led, was skeptical what 6x 0.5w SMD led could do and boy it was bright! tank dosn't look too low tech afterall
and i did a rescape too, changed some wood and added US fissiden to the wood instead of taiwan moss.

im no boss man! hahaha.. thanks! its actually on a ikea computer table with shelves, i checked and it will hope the weight with no issue!

Very keen to see the progress of the UG. It isn't an easy plant to begin with. With the absence of CO2 injection, it'll be even a greater challenge. Please keep all of us updated.

updates:
US fissiden came with green hair algae when i bought and now its infesting the whole tank!
after 50% WC, sucked out some algae but still quite alot.. hopefully when i add shrimps they will help to eat them up!
surprisingly the UG is growing and rooting well!
i still have yet to dose any thing, i do 50% a week now. lights are on for 10 hours.
