How to tie willow moss?

Wandering if anyone can teach me how to tie willow moss nicely. Pls help.

You can tie it like the way you tie all other mosses.

I tried the usual way but it did not turn out well. Looking for a way to have the end result as the picture I attached.

i think the best is just tying it to the wood, and letting it grow out. after awhile, when it matures, it will grow out naturally
