Adding liquid CO2 may not expedite grow, see
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...s-on-DW-spread
then why do people add co2 to grow faster? liquid co2 and co2 got diffence?

First you need to figure out whether your moss are not growing because they lack CO2 only, or are they lacking other essentials, like sufficient light (to support the rate growth you want) and other nutrients. If those are lacking, adding carbon by itself, whether as CO2 gas or liquid C supplements will not help.
In the same line of thought, do NOT dismiss the idea that carbon is what you are lacking at the moment.
What are the conditions you are providing to you moss? List your lights type and wattage, water volume, water height, any substrate, what fertilisers, when and how much you dose.
The so-called liquid CO2 is NOT liquid CO2. They are called carbon supplements and consists of some other chemical compound that includes C.
Plants need carbon (C). CO2 gas is one source. C supplements is another. Some people use CO2 gas as main source and add the liquid stuff as a backup.
CO2 gas is a better source for the plants, especially in a high light tank. You will get better results with CO2 gas (assuming all other factors are sufficient and equal). CO2 gas overdose causes CO2 poisoning (I'm not knocking CO2 gas as an option, just to let you know that both types can be overdosed. It is NOT easy to overdose either one as long as you follow the instructions and precautions).
Liquid C supplements are more convenient, in my opinion, and much easier to control the dosage. But they are only suitable for low and moderate light tanks. It is a good and dependable option if you do not want to fork out the investment for, or mess around with CO2 gas equipment. Better than no CO2, DIY CO2, CO2 tablets, etc.
This tank is grown with C Supplements, no CO2 gas at all.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
usually with strong lighting it grow well.
Just strong lighting? Be careful not to give the wrong impression that strong lighting is all that is required.

i think my light is strong enough as my other plant grow quite well only moss grow quite slow.

As long as the mosses are dark green (can be light green depending on species?) and are thick, you need not worry. Patience is key.
Mosses are slow grower compared to your other plants.
ok.. thanks you bro for the information.

Moss which is close relative to algae may not be able to take advantage of Excel. Excel will kill moss same way as it kill algae if you inject it too close.
Too grow fast you not only need light but also other nutrient, mainly N, P, K and some trace mineral. Excel although convenient it is not as good as gas CO2. If CO2 is a 10, Excel is a 6-7 (Info from Seachem FAQ).
too much co2 = acidic to water therefore dropping the ph.
if u wanna balance both...get a ph reader.
Another factor to look at is temperatture, moss generally needs lower temperature
my tank running at 25deg. so should be ok. i might diy a co2 tank try. if really help den i might buy a co2 tanks.
