If u don't wanna buy the razor blade..thing for the glass then use phonecard...it will do the job. iF u wanna get, get tetra tec or the taiwan brand glass cleaner..it will aslo do the job fine for u
Just setup a planted tank few weeks ago now it has hair algae on the glass. How should I clean the glass without scrathing it. I have tried the normal yellow sponge but it doesn't work, the green coarse one sometimes scrath the glass.

i think to be safe, u shld try fone card
That's clever!!! I will try it. Thanks for the advise.
The tetra tec glas cleaner is a good buy IMO. Don't know is it easily available in Australia.
The cheap and effective method is the fone card as Benedict pointed out. Problem is that is difficult to see where you're cleaning esp with deeper tanks.
Btw , where can I buy replacement blades for the tetra tec?
I Love Penang
Is tetra tec glass cleaner made by tetra the well know brand for fish food etc.
yes

but it works fine
however, i prefer using credit cards
as the protruding numbers will stop it from sticking to the glass
and i use a toothbrush for the corners where the silicone is
I have tried phone card yesterday and worked fine. The only problem is like someone already mentioned difficult to see what you are doing for deep tank (mine 2'). Also I find the thinner card works better.
Any of you have experience with keeping Otos that suppose to eat this algae? I know my peppermint catfish is not doing the job.
I will try using a wooden stick and attach the phone card, just have to think how to keep enough pressure at the end of the card. My carpet get a little bit wet yesterday, when I did the bottom part the water splashed out.
ikan, perharps u can try twig cat
I have tried whiptail and twig catfish several time. For some reason they keep on dying on my tank, other fish are okay some even breed. So I kind of given up on them. Do you know if whiptail does the same job, I personally like it better. Maybe one more try, the last one.
