Had a reasonable success with my 1FT planted tank and now intend to upgrade to a 3ft tank. Would need some advise on the selection of a suitable Cannister filter. What is the recommended flow rate. By the way my tank thickness is 6mm and would like to know if there is a limitation in the applicable flow rate.

If you are doing planted, and a densely planted tank then get a canister with 2x or 3x flowrate for the amount of water in your tank. I.e to say if you water volume is 30l then get one with 600l/hr. I am not 100% sure. i once heard it from some one. Hope this helps
