weilong, just wondering, how old are you?
And if you just spend some time searching on the web, there's tons of info on how to start a marine tank. Rather than post a spoon feeding qn. Anyhow, a 100L tank would be 3ft or bigger rite? So I"m sure you won't simply stop at a pair of clown fish. you need live rocks and skimmer. And cycle the tank with a piece of market prawn together with live rocks for 2-3 weeks before adding any clowns.
Obviously I've read up some websites. However since I only plan on having fish now and no other stuff, what I wanted to know if I need other accessories like protein skimmer, light etc besides the normal canister filter is enough. I've mentioned that I will need to cycle the tank properly too. No problem with that just adding Ammonia Chloride will do.----------------

However no one come and give any suggestion at all. Then the next thing is I get pple coming to tell me I am childish? Is my comment on you guys not being helpful fair? Up to you to decide.
Don't just jump to conclusion that I want to be spoon feed.
Maybe in future I should ask what I need exactly for a marine tank, from A-Z then no one reply and you can come accuse me for asking to be spoon fed. By then I will agree that I want to be spoon fed.
Bro, relax. Since Kelstorm is not here, I would suggest you visit SGREEFCLUB for more info. More pics and answer for you there. It is locally hosted just like AQ.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
Yup, BFG is right...cool it guys. Marine folks are far less than planted tank folks here as far as I have seen so answers don't come by so easily or fast for your liking. Try other forums especially those dedicated to marine..you'll get faster response there.![]()

Hi Wei Leong
- Dun get so agitated, I am Marlin and have been some time since I came back here. I have been in this website since the day it first launched and I must say there are really alot of helpful souls and useful tips in this forumIf u are patience and find hard enough
Starting a Maine tank is never an easy business if u do not read or do enough research
Before I start, I have been reading alot before I start my 3x2x2 and it has been more than a year now
- Ok, pertaining to your questions,
1) a 100L tank should be a 2x1.5x1.5 if I am not wrongTo keep just 2 clown fish at a tank of this size is not be a major problem
But keeping in mind, it should be only a pair of common clown fish. If u keep other clowns such as Tomato clown or others, chances are they will fight till left one surviour.
2) Will the tank with a ehiem (wet/dry filter) work? Will need to cycle is properly. Or can i just use a normal wet filter only? If u are only keeping one pair of clowns, the normal ehiem canister filter will works fine, no need more sophiscated type of filtering, unless it involes live rocks and corals. I mean Fish-only tank.
3) Do I need a protein skimmer etc? It will be good to have a protein skimmer
- 'Marine' is always a precious and valuable asset that our little world has and it has beautify and bring life to many Marine lovers aquarist from all over the world. Be it it's just a pair of common clown that only cost $1 per fish, we should not just killed it or let it die because of our lack of knowledge or no patience to keep it. Hope you will heed my advice, love the Marine and keep them with love and they will in return bring u many years of enjoyment. No offence
