    nice setup!

How thick is your soil wor?

You might wants to take out the nana at the back. the sap are known to be poisonous to shrimps

3.5 inches is around 8 cm, still quite ok. Any thicker i will worry about too much anaerobic BB building up under the soil.

better to take out the nana before you add in your CRS.

to clear ammonia fast, i will 3 times 100% water change for the 1st week, and the actual cycle will start at the 2nd week.

    Re: My future crs tank

I've kept Nana petite with my fire reds and CRS. Cut a few dead nana leaves and I'm sure some sap leaked out too.
My tank is a small tank. So far no problems encountered.
