Anyone shed some light on the specs?
Hey guys I am planning a low tech aquascape for a 5ft(L) X 2ft(W) X 2.5ft(H) tank for I need a lot of input from the pros here...
The tank will be low tech meaning No Co2 injection what so ever and currently I have a T5 double tube 80W 12K HO light set. Its filtration will be bio and mechanical via sump attachment and a 4ft sump tank below the main tank.
My questions are:
1. Could you guys suggest all the super easy no CO2 needed plants that can thrive nicely in my aquarium setup?
All I can think of at this point is Java Fern, Java Moss and Nanas... but I definitely want more variety...
2. Is the lighting enough or should I get one more light set?
Are there any good foreground low growing carpet type plants that you can recommend me for this kinda setup?
Thanks in advance... cant wait for my tank to be delivered but it'll probably take 3weeks to a month...![]()

Java fern, the common mosses, Hairgrass, various crypts, Vallisneria, the Echinodorus range, etc?
Hope you've read information like Tom Barr's Non-CO2 method and stuff..
