Hi those are bristlenose plecos. L180, L181 or L183 I'm not sure which is the one commonly available.

Bought 2 pleco from Y618 over the weekend, search on web but couldn't find any information. Now it's quite hard to take picture of them as they are hiding somewhere in my planted tank.
They are labeled as "Dwarf Blue Dot Pleco" on the tank that I bought them, each fish is about 3cm long. They have nice blue dots and the fins are black with no dots but have a nice white ending at the tip of the dorsal and tail fin.
I am wondering what is the spices name and how big they can grow to as I only have a nano-tank and the shop keeper told me they will not grow large.

Thanks.
How big will they grow up to as it mentioned it is supposed to be dwarf?

Hi,
did you manage to get the proper ID of the dwarf blue dot pleco ?
If I'm not wrong its a L183 but I'm not too sure either and I plan to buy one or two too![]()
Does it look like this?
If yes, most likely L181 as L183 not easily available.

Yeap, it looks like those in the photo, so it's either L181 or L183, until they get older then easier to identify

very interesting plecos to keep. do keep us updated on these babes!

Only get to see them once a while as I do not know where they are hiding among the plants, will try and get some picture if I see them comming out of their hidings
Hi im interested to get some from Y618 but not sure how big they grow since mine is a nano set up. I heard all plecos do grow up to quite a substantial size :/ does anyone knows whats the max size?
Cheers!

These guys grow to around 3.5". Definitely not recommended for nanos!
