My chapalang 1ft cube. Lots of Java fern and moss. Nanas at the bottom where they weren't captured by the cameraFish are some cheap guppies.
Trying out a second rockscape with simple Jap hairgrass as a lawn. Ember tetras with cherry shrimps. Too little Embers... that's why they like to hide at the back.

nice setup!
like the grass scape in the second tank, what's the temp of the water?
...I love rubies too ...

Thanks guys. The 1ft cube looks like crap in the picture but I like the wildness of it in real life.
The temp of the water of my 2ft tank is probably around 28 degrees Celsius... I don't use a fan or chiller. I realise this is what may be keeping the hairgrass not as healthy/fast-growing as it should have been.
The tank is lighted by a 2 x 18 T5HO, ADA Aquasoil Amazonia 2, fertilised by EI.
I like the algae on rocks in the 2nd scape... very natural looking. First scape looks like got a fair bit of algae... not sure if it's just the reflection.
There's definately algae in the first tankjust that I didn't take a good pic of it and it hasn't been cleaned in 6 months or so. It's a non-CO2 tank.
like the second scape![]()
i like the second setup... nice...

2nd scape with or without CO2?
With CO2, pumped through with the UP CO2 external diffusor.
