Hi will be heading to Central Jakata for a short working trip at Grand Hyatt Jakata. Are there any LFS near there ?

Another LFS in jakarta is a groups of shop centralize in one street:
1. Jl Sumenep / Sumenep fish market (between menteng and Sudirman)
2. Jl Kartini (between Jl. Gunung Sahari and Jl. Mangga besar)

U can go to jalan sumenep first, it has around 5-8 shops.
It sells fresh water n marine and equipment.
If u take taxi from hyatt, sumenep should reach in +/-15 minutes.

Jl Kartini will takes around 30-60 minutes ( depends on traffic ).
It sells fresh water fish n equipment.
While Aquajaya will takes around 40-80 minutes.

Thanks bro for the quick reply. Can i ask which one is worth going ? like finding rare or uncommon fishes or invertebrates ? i understand some are seasonal. Thank you again

Sumenep have a quite complete collection. Don't hesitate to ask in english.
Kartini only sells normal fish. Aquajaya, i haven't been there.

Hello,

In jakarta the biggest LFS market is sumenep. They are simpe kiosk but the biggest one in jakarta. Everything from fish,invert,some reptile, plant, driftwood and marine is there. But you must good in bargain because people in sumenep is very crazy to make their price. There's a lot of foreigners usually went there. So they can speak a little about english. Like I said before they're price tag very crazy. For fish on jaakarta is seasonal because almost if it"s avaailable in LFS that's a fail export item usually.

And don't shock if the LFS in jakarta very different with the sngapore. I mean in jakarta almost 70% is simple kios traditional market.

What you can find in jakarta maybe about fish like rasbora species,oryzias, etc. And if you're looking for driftwood some of in sumenep sell it but sometime the price is overrated for me. Because for me the best driftwood from indo are santigi. Because doesn't need to sink for a few days because it can instantly using to your tank. Santigi it's the best and it's bonsai.

If you're looking for stone jakarta it's very good for rock.

And for aqua jaya it's quite far from your place. You can find rock,driftwood,plants in there.

If you're looking for sulawesi shrimp and snails come to kelapa gading, pelepah.

If you're lookinf for unique shrimp in jakarta it's very rare to find in LFS. You should looking for the professional hobbys.
