Giving up on riccia and glosso

Hi guys,

Any recommendations for creeping foreground plants?

I'm giving up on riccia and glosso. I have to retie the riccia often and when I don't do they, the whole thing just floats to the surface. And my cories love to dig into my glosso. []

Another alternative is e.tenellus. Fast grower. Nice brown tinge on leaves.

Actually I'm considering e.tenellus too. If I'm not wrong, its normal for this plant to 'melt'?

Does ah pek sell this plant? What is it called in hokkien or chinese?

If you cut off the leave before planting, you will minimise the melting.

If the ET you buy is in the emmerse form, yes cut the leaves... but if they are already in submersed form, don't.

for the benefit of everyone here, I can recognised the leave of the submerse and emerse form. However, I'm lacking in putting it in words. Can you help?

Submersed leaves are longer, slimmer and has a darker colouring. Most of the time, it has a reddish brown colour when planted under direct lighting.

If you're having problems with your cories digging up glosso, chances are you'll have the same prblems with most of other foreground plants. You should try to figure out a way first to avoid your cories digging out the foreground plants.

Personally, I have a few cories in my tank but they did not wreak much havoc with my glossos. You could plant them deeper so that they can have a better grip on the subtrate.
