    been using it ... for near half a year
    Basically the concerns mentioned that i have tested.

    pH - upon dropping into water, pH will increase to 7.4 temporary (depends on concentration of mineral and water)
    acidic soil will buffer back to 6ish within couple hrs.. luckily

    gH - it has calcium oxide , so will give 3-4 gH on a bare tank effectively

    it is powdery and not actually a rock .. more like mineral powder compressed into a shape form.

    * will advise to underdose the rocks as each rock is different sizes, long term of use release calcium oxide into water which required constant water change to keep up with suitable gH
