i believe this are filter feeding shrimps . Mountain/bamboo/asian/wood shrimp. anybody had any experience breeding them in freshwater???

i've seen the full grown adult.. quite a size i must say.

Had some in my tanks previously and the only thing I know is that these wood shrimps love hanging out near the current of the output tube. Their highly specialized pincers spreading out like a fan and then 'squirting' whatever food they filtered, directly into their 'mouth'. Very interesting to observe.

Didn't occur to me to try breeding them as my priorities and thoughts were on killifishes then.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

mountain shrimp. out of stock for a few weeks recently. i am trying to find as well, even Seaview was out. went today. Stock will come weekend apparently. great shrimp to have but you cant put it in tanks with smaller shrimp. the last batch i got was way bigger, maybe 4 inch. how much did you pay for this one? $2?

got it for $4 , even the full grown ones are $4 @ sam yick (parkway parade) . I picked the smallest one :X

i thought it would be ok to put it with the smaller shrimps as its a filter feeder and not carnivorous?
