1. yes you can but don't blame me if anything goes wrong hor
2. nothing much for this set up la. i might do a "E" shaped water bridge for the 3 tanks so that they can have same water level or even same water parameter.

Sorry to ask a noob question but is it possible to have a 2 feet shrimp tank with only sponge filter?

yes possible. but your sponge will need to be oversized.

You can utilise the Mattenfilter method by blocking off one end of the tank with a large wad of coarse sponge, and using a powerhead or air-lift method to move water through the sponge and back into the tank. This method tremendously increases the space for your BB to colonize with such a large piece of sponge. You can even add Bio-Home in the space behind the sponge so you get more areas for the BB to grow.

beside a shrimp net i used for 2 years. My diy shrimp net is 42cm long, good enough for tanks for depth of 45cm with 5cm soil thickness

no nice lfs there lei. shrimps not popular there yet.

2 X 2 outlet air pump ( running @ minimum output 24/7 )
Ehiem 2026 @ 25W (24/7)
haliea chiller 150A @ 242W

was playing around with my watt meter last night and found out.

maximum wattage is 350 ( everything on )

minimum wattage is 100 (lights / chiller resting / CO2 off )

hee hee, im running 5 tanks now. 2 ( 2x1x1.2 feet tanks ) and 3 ( 1 feet gex/5-plan tanks )
