Hi bro
My fire red also same like your after 1 1/2 month , not sure when will become real red .
How long is your shrimp , my abt 0.5cm
Hi, was wondering when would be the right time to do a culling in a fire red tank. The shrimplets dont seem to be very red(sakura pattern and colouring). Is there a certain time where they "become" fire reds or can you tell if they are of lower grade? When do you move them out before they start mating with the others? Some help would be cool! thanks
P.S. My previous tank had a mixed bunch/grade of rcs but i strained the fire reds out to another tank.

Mine around 1 cm already but the colouration is sakura. was thinking whether to keep them or sell them off.
Icic..Maybe i will keep them for another few more month to see of there are any changes .
i read online that it will take them around 4-5 month to mature into their color ..
Any expert can help ?
tks
Female color usually becomes better when berried for the second time.
Basically 3-4months time from birth.
so we won't be able to know if its really fire red until 4-5 months? I don't want to back breed them to sakuras.
Quick Question:
Can they really breed when they are only 4-5 months and do you intend to sell off your culled shrimps?
Mine seemed to go from transparent to red in a matter of days but I read somewhere that it has got something to do with the background of the tank set-up. Not too sure. But red or not, I love my shrimps all the same. =)
