    Hi all,

    I had some problems fitting a 2-way splitter and ended up using other fittings to temporary link up to the regulator.

    A bigger pic can be found at here.

    I've not mounted the regulator to the cylinder yet because;

    1. There are TWO GAUGES; I think one is for the cylinder's internal pressure and the other is the reduced pressure (before going to needle valves). What is supposed to be the safe or 'correct' reduced pressure? 10 lbs (10psi) or what??

    2. The TUBING used between the regulator and splitter has the following specs;
    PROLINE *4x6* Polyurethane Calibrated 98 Shore A *T13* 47211. Is this tubing suitable for CO2 use?

    Although I've asked around, I'd still like to cast for a wider response. Wouldn't want to burst up anything and any advise is most appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance!

    Look like you bought all the staff and assemble yourself! am I right?

    Make sure that the regulator is capable of up to 3000psi (Co2 is 1000psi). and it step down to below 60psi. What are those blue tube? is it meant for compress-air? if yes, it can handle up to 100psi, no problem if your co2 is correctly step down to <60psi.

    I got the regulator from a good friend, splitter is from NA and the adaptors/tube are from the spare parts box at my work place... so you're partially right, Eric.

    Yes, the blue tubes are what we used with our compressed air-driven turbine handpieces but I'm not sure of their safe pressure rating tho.

    Does it makes any sense if I lowered the step-down to 20psi and still be able to use this ceramic-disc diffuser in a 16" depth?

    20psi should be no problem.

    Normal pressure from those bought off the shelf regulator is about 30-40psi.

    Try 20psi, if cannot then 30psi, IMO, the tube that you use should be safe up to 50psi AT LEAST.

    I used to try assemble one also, but do not have good 'Lobang' for the regulator. Can you share with me how or where I could buy one (at reasonable price), and where you buy the connector (connecting from regulator to the CO2 tank.)

    Can PM me if you do not wish to publicise it.

    you can try to find the correct fittings to connect the regulator to the splitter at blk 28 kelantan lane. the shop is next to a staircase and sells nothing but fittings. bring down your regulator/splitter and ask them for te available fittings.

    the blue tube should withstand a pressure of 9 bar.

    eric,
    the connector you are looking for has a designation cga 320.
