I also got this fish from TB Ben, looks like related to Chela. Again anyone can ID? Size about 3-4cm roughly the same as a Danio.

bought some tiny greenish fish from TB Ben (they call it green-stripe or green-line) that look somewhat like a Boraras and about the same size (1.5cm), can anyone ID?

the 2nd looks like an Oxigaster sp (the glass barbs). the 1st looks microrasbora like... maybe compare with M nana here.... click
mmm… looks quite like the nana, actually don't think that is the official name yet huh? so should be Microrasbora sp. 'nana'. Any japanese reader can translate the RVA site text?
btw they're school very strongly, although it could be attributed to being the new boys on the block. I'll check again in a couple of days.
yes the second fish clearly looks like an Oxygaster, although seems like most of the oxygaster species have been reclassified under Parachela, but will be a challenge to identify the species.

I think the first one is rasbora bankanensis (got it from a new book from Taiwan). Chhong sua is carrying some now as well. However, Biotope seem to have them and called them Microrasbora H.. (can't remember exact spelling)
i have 10 in my tank, they school for the first week or so only... so too bad... after that they are split into smaller groups of 4 to 5 fishes each.
maybe someone with thelatest fish atlas can enlighten us?![]()

no the first fish is boraras-sized, only 1.5cm. Rasbora bankanensis is more regular-rasbora sized which is around 6cm.

the first fish....i had them about during the begining of this year. Still can't find correct ID so far.
It looks almost same as the so called "barbus leonensis" in the small Atlas book. But at least the picture match..[]
hard to find info of parachela species too.
I just collected the book this evening.
cheers
the second parachela sp also looks different from the two species in my tank.
where did you get your Parachela sp. ? let's see some pics.
