So I went to one of my fav. LFS yesterday to see their new shipment, and they have some killifish in. I'm really interested in getting some for breeding purposes. The females were red coloured and the male looked bluish if I'm remembering correctly

I'll try to get some pics as I might pass by the place today.

For breeding, whats a good number to start with?

I think they only had one male, I will double check tomorrow and hopefuly ID them aswell. For a tank, I have a spare 10gal that I could use, or a smaller 6gal, would this do for breeding purposes?

    Thanks bros
    Regards,
    Jalal K.

    Hello Jalal,

A pair or trio is the typical breeding setup for killifish if you are out of space. I'll need pics to ID the fish you have at your LFS. Since you're in Kuwait, the best killifish to start with might be Aphanius dispar, the Arabian Killie.

Sweet, good to know you can help ID them

I think I'll get a trio for the 10gal, does 2 females one male sound good to you?

Yes, that's a good number to start with for a trio.
