did up a christmas moss wall as shown with plastic mesh and cable ties... do you guys foresee any growth problems or future tank problems with this ? please advice

your plastic mesh might float up. if not just use suckers to keep them in place.

Yes you will encounter problem
1) Shrimps might get stuck behind the plastic mesh
actually strong magnet should hold the mesh up nicely..
