Spiral Diffuser

Bought a Long Glass Spiral CO2 Diffuser some time back. Finally going to use it. Do I have to fill the diffuser with water? Otherwise, whats the purpose of the spiral tube inside? Pls advice

just put the diffuser into the water, it will fill up with water.

The spiral is to help the CO2 diffuse into the water. If you observe the CO2 bubble, the bubble will get smaller and smaller as it travels up the spiral column.

All you have to do is to place the diffuser below the tank water surface, connect your CO2 supply tube to the bottom of the diffuser (inlet). As the CO2 gas travel upwards, you will find the bubble gets smaller, meaning its been dissolved in the water for your plants consumption.

The Spiral diffuser allows the CO2 gas/bubble to get into contact with your tank water longer allowing more time for the CO2 to dissolve.
