    Hi
I am thinking of taking my OHF away and not replacing it with any other filters for my 2 feet tank...at least for the time being...Is it possible to go without a filter?
One of my plants on driftwood, which i could not ID,starting wilting away these few days and today, i shocking discovered that some of the plants' stem had turn black!
I have been dosing Lushgro aqua (in fact only yesterday) so dun think fert is the problem?
So i am thinking of replacing the OHF with another light of 20 W, bring my total light wattage to a grand total of 40W...mine is a low light tank...

So back to the main theme...can i do without a filter?

    Cheers!

not advisable bro.in theory it might seems workable...but...i did that the prev time and green water came knocking on my door.it might be a coincidence.but...somehow i believe a current in the tank is better for the fishes and the whole setup.so now im using a eheim 2213.pl lights and co2 cylinder.guess all is in proper place.[]

PLanted tank without filters are ok. Filters are mainly beneficial for fish. Another reason maybe for water circulation so that the water wouldn't be stale. IMO, plants should not be bothered by the lack of filtration. Before I answer why your plants are not doing well, info like type of plants (get a pic would be best if you dun know the name), tank setup etc. would be needed to evaluate the problem. At the moment, I would guess that the lack of lighting would be your problem. I suggest you cut on ferts to as with low light means slow nutrient uptake.
    Cheers!!
