hailea and resun !
hailea and resun !
Why not try a fan? Unless you are keeping really high grade stuff, a fan is sufficient.

would personally recommened a hailea. slightly more expensive to buy but cheaper to maintain.
Hailea. So far so good. Rather reliable. I personally feel its better to invest in 1 now rather than buy something cheaper and keep having to replace it
My nick is lizhien. But i'm not a girl. It's Li Zhi En. =) You can call me Cole too.
I'm using a Resun CL-450, manage to maintain the temp at 25-26C but abit noisy when kick in.
How big is your tank, if small then its okay.( look for the watts on the box)
Im using GEX for 2 months, temperature set at 25.
Increment is approx S$15.00 per month.
Hope these helps
chiller running cost for 3 ft and below set at 26 deg is no concern. i am paying $300 extra per month on my 4 chillers. the most mind blowing being the 1 HP hailea which just gobble up eletricity like a monster. that monster alone cost around $200 per month just to run it for my 1000 Liter tank. set at 26 deg only. i have since change it to Arctica and all is well. when i was running Hailea together with the 3 arctica, it was burning $430 a month just for chillers cost alone. i would suggest you invest in an Arctica. Forget the rest especially Teco, same price as Arctica but made in China now. Hailea is probably the best among the China brands but only Arctica can make it really. And by the way, the data on the Hailea spec sheet is not accurate especially the eletricity consumption part!
bro just curious, will invertor aircon be cheaper since you running so many chillers? that really cost a lot!

But i thought the inverter like starmex need the higher wattage eletrical socket with the round legs type. there are limitations on the amount of such socket in each home right? and the compressor must be placed outside the home right?
Air conditioning may be suitable if you have a whole room of tanks to cool down, but the electrical bill will be high over time, especially with rising electrical tariffs. Leaving it running 24/7 is just not economically viable.
The Made In China brands are not accurate in information, as sungod has pointed out, but for cost considerations they might be cheaper for a starter hobbyist. Arctica, while expensive, will provide you good chilling power, even though the initial cost is high. Ultimately it is down to personal choice.
