Juz to confirm..... submerse or emerse?
Hi all!
Any hobbyists grew E Osiris submersed b4? Mine has grown too large for my 3 ft tank and make my tank too "complicated". I'm wondering if I can remove it and grow it in a pot, submersed until I get a large tank.
As for those who keep this plant, how's yours getting along?
Cheers!

Sori for the error, emersed. Thanks Sherchoo!
Cheers!
Kadios,
No worries..... It should not be too difficult to grow them emmerse given the correct requirements like lights, water and root substrate.
Thanks for the assurance. In fact, I'm contemplating a round pot with gravel(those small grained type used in planted tank) enriched with base fertilizer(like root monster tabs) with some water(from the main tank) maintained at a low level to prevent drying out of the plant. As I've never really tried growing plants emersed b4, so will like to get the facts right in case I "killed" my 7 yr old plant.
I tried searchin the net for info on Osiris emersed culture but seems to hit a blank! That's why I hope to get some helpful advise from "forerunners" of emersed culture.
Cheers!
You will need to slowly let the plant grow emmerse leaves before you take it totally out of the water. Otherwise, all the submerse leaves will dry out and die.
Put it in shallow water so that it will start growing emmerse leaves while the submerse leaves are kept damp.

Thanks for the advise guys!
I juz plucked it out yesterday and it was huge!!! I will let it seat in my tank surface and hopefully it will grow out emersed leaves.
While uprooting it, I accidentally broke out a portion of its rhizome. Read in the net that baby plantlets can be grown from it if I let it seat on the water surface. Anyone tried it before? I'd like to try it out.
Cheers!
