Too expensive for my liking...I would rather mod the green bio-ball internal reactor into an external one and run in-line with an external canister. Works perfect for me imo/ime.

I'm using one and the only problem with it is small fishes. Sometimes, fishes like to swim agains the current and get trap in the reactor. I tried putting in a piece of netting and that seems to work. Otherwise, it works pretty well.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I got mine as a package but I think I saw them for sale around $100+ at one LFS in Clementi.

I use to put some ramhorn snails inside the reactor and seal it with a netting. Not fast, but it works. No brown algae.----------------

Hi Benny!
Thanks for the advise! Hmm... I think i should search for some ramhorn snails to try that out. Regretably, I will still have green spot algae to clear! Sigh...
Cheers!
Why don't you try to bleach it ? Try it, no regret! But don't forget to neutralize the bleach on the item by using anti chlorine or vinegar.![]()
