Hi guys, just bought a tds meter and happy use it to test my tds level. Its around 106. I google around and find tht crs prefer 150 to 200. Can i increase up to 150 by using mosura mineral plus alone?

My ph is around 6.7 now

    Hi Bro
suggest you use the Minerock which can be bought at GC shop..
It save more $$ than you use Mineral Plus ..
My tank had maintain around 180 for the past 2 month and WC once per week .

Yes you could adjust the tds just by using mosura mineral plus. Personally I find more control in adjusting the tds to preferred level using this. But definitely both works

But one advice, do not pour the solution straight into tank. I normally mix in a 1.5 l water before adding to tank.

TDS around 170+ should be fine.

    mine is 2x1x1.5 .

Mineral Rock can just dump 1 rock in your tank. It will slowly dissolve in the water. U might wanna check your TDS meter first. Some TDS meter accuracy are off even newly bought.

How come it will be off? Some Tds meters meaning cheapo brands or all brands?
For me I do think that unlike ph meters, Tds meter are very accurate even it's factory calibrated. I got 12 Tds meters when I bulk purchase for local hobbyists and when I test if they are working in both tank water and 342 solution, the accuracy differentiate within 2 whole numbers. I do find that it is reliable.

Hi Bro, you are right, Tds meter is calibrated different by different manufacturer, best is to use conductivity meter to measure, some Td meter measure both conductivity and Tds.

I have no idea?? QC problem??

My friend bought one from a LFS shop. $40++ tested TDS of tap water at AMK is 147!! I bought mine online shipped over from HK. $20 bucks. TDS level was 70+. So i posted a thread in forums asking for TDS level of each individual hobbyists and at most TDS level in 100. So roughly confirm my friend one was spoil. Thats why i said buy the TDS calibration fluid before concluding anything, or best, borrow a TDS meter from other hobbyist and test your water.

I think there is a mosura product to increase TDS but GH remains.
