Any Reds supporter interested to go to KL to watch Liverpool play against Malaysia on 16th July 2011? I was at National Stadium when they visited Singapore in 2009 but Gerrard didn't come with the team as he was settling his court case back home. This time, Captain Gerrard will be with the team, but sad to say that Suarez and maybe Lucas and Maxi are not coming with the team as they will be involved in Copa America 2011. But there are still plenty of stars coming and we have the latest recruit, Jordan Henderson, and maybe Charlie Adam, Connor Wickham too.

The match ticket can be bought at selected Adidas stores and sports shops and it comes with a complimentary Training pass which was on 14th July. You just have to book the air-ticket and hotel. PM me if you are interested to go or sms at 97509878.

    Reds to visit Singapore

    24.06.11
Singapore Reds can look forward to another memorable summer as Liverpool Football Club are returning to the country which gave us so many happy memories two years ago.
With the planned visit to Korea having been cancelled earlier this month, the Reds have taken the exciting opportunity to return to Singapore for a special training session on the third leg of their Standard Chartered sponsored pre-season tour of Asia.
Kenny Dalglish's squad will travel to Singapore - where they enjoyed an unforgettable welcome back in 2009 - immediately after their friendly game in Malaysia on July 16 and will train in front of invited supporters at a training session the following evening before their flight back to Liverpool.
Stay tuned to lfctour.com and liverpoolfc.tv for more information on the Singapore leg of Liverpool's Asia tour.

I will miss this special training session as I will only be back to Singapore on Sunday night, but it is for invited supporters anyway. If anyone is present in the training session, please take lots of picture of it.

    Hi guys,
Interested in seeing how keen you are on visit of our club to your country.

Just to let you know that we are Koppites following the team and trying to find out where the supporters will meet before the game.

We are in KL for only 2 nights but would really like to meet any loyal reds for a pint or two before the game.

Hi Pops, it is so great to see a fellow Reds from UK. We will be in KL for 4 days and will be attending the training session, meet-the-fan session and the actual match and guess what, we will be back to Singapore in time for their short stay and training (warm down) session again. A pity that Suarez and Lucas won't be here this time as they are away for the Copa America, but I will definitely want to have a chance to meet up with Gerrard who wasn't present when the team visited Singapore.

Re: Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Asia Tour 2011 in KL, Malaysia

ESPN just reported that Gerrard will not be present in the Asia tour 2011 AGAIN!!! He wasn't present in the 2009 tour due to a court case but this time it is to "ensure he is fit for the start of the new Premier League season", which is unreasonable and quite BS to me. He can come with the team and he need not play in any match. He only need to be present in the meet-the-fan session, and the fan will be very happy to see him in person. I am really very disappointed with the club management decision and the man himself. Suarez and Lucas will also not be coming, so who else is not coming, just give all the names at one go and not disappoint the fans as the match day come closer. And for goodness sake, sign Adam asap and get him to come with the team!

This is what he said to the fans, I am not taking this "excuse" well.
"I'd really been looking forward to travelling out to China, Malaysia and Singapore and meeting first hand as many of our fans as possible, and I'm really sorry that I won't now be able to do that," Gerrard said.
"All of us at the club realise the incredible support we enjoy in these countries and how much it means to our supporters there.
"But after sitting down and talking with the medical experts and technical staff, it's been decided that the best course of action is for me to continue my rehabilitation programme at Melwood.
"It's disappointing I won't be with them, but I'm sure the lads who go out there will put a great show on for our fans."

You will never walk alone, but Gerrard will train alone back in Melwood!

It was reported that the new signing Jordan Henderson will also miss the Asia Tour as he "has been given extra time to recover following his exploits with England at the Under-21 European Championships.". There is no news whether the latest signing Charlie Adam will be joining the squad to fly off to China this Sunday, hopefully he can bring some joys to the fans.

Actually Aquilani is OK to me, I rate him quite highly to be a good asset to the team. But now with Adam's deal sealed-up, I think maybe Kenny will consider offloading him away. I will not be surprise if reports come out that he is also not coming to Asia Tour.

Re: Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Asia Tour 2011 in KL, Malaysia

Ya, concur that Aquilani is actually IMO good for the team. In my books, he's higher in the "pecking order" than Jova, Poulsen, Maxi, Shelvey, Cole and perhaps even Kuyt (needless to even add new boy Henderson to the list!) It's too bad he joined Reds when he was still injured, and probably 'rushed' his entry into the EPL. It's a very physical and fast game in the EPL, and not the best place to start immediately after injury (and coming from a much "slower" league like the La Liga).

I do hope he wont be sold, but will not be totally surprised if that happens as he is still in high demand! (unlike those I've mentioned above). Reds has got a little too many Mids now - if you count all listed in the first team, we have enough to form a team with reserves included! :-( It's going to be tough to hold on to so many (esp the Internationals) when we dont have that many games given we're not in Europe... :-(

Re: Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Asia Tour 2011 in KL, Malaysia

Neverwalkalone, you are right that we have too many players in midfield and that is why we need to sell, sell and sell. Jova had been asked to leave in mutual consent, Poulsen and Cole will be sold when a good offer arrive. Shelevy is one bright spot for the future and Maxi may just have earned his place in the squad with a incredible performance in the close-season. Spearing look like he is in Kenny's good book and the hardworking Kuyt can end his career at Anfield as a power-player in the reserves. I actually have a low rating on Henderson as to me, he costs the team too much money and he really need to perform above-par to earn the fans over. I only got good things to say about Adam as he will contribute goals and assists to the team and he alone may earn precious points for the team with his accurate deadly free-kicks on his reliable left-foot.

We need to get left-back and wingers and also another potent striker to partner Carroll and Suarez. I don't think Downing is the man for Liverpool but Kenny want to sign young British players with inflated fees. Maybe we should try to bid for the sky with the very talented Juan Mata although we can't offer him Euro matches. We still have another 7 weeks before the transfer window closes and I think the King know what he is doing and hopefully he can manage to pull off some big signings again!

According to King Kenny, the new signing, Charlie Adam will be present in the Asia Tour.
"Lucas Leiva and Luis Suarez are on duty at the Copa America but all other first team stars are expected to board the flight for China, including new signing Charlie Adam."

Re: Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Asia Tour 2011 in KL, Malaysia

The Asia trip team is not the full team as per previous years, and it's always a challenge to balance both the commercial agenda as well as the pre-season training needs. At least I think MD Ayre has come out to position this "conflict" upfront and indicate the fine balance they need to strike. Good to know their coaching team will also do some clinics/workshops to enable the local game to be improved!

Aqnoob: I think we think alike in most areas, and especially wrt to the signing of Downing.. however, this video does seem to indicate perhaps why the coaches think he's a good candidate! Amazing skill!!

Then again, it's always different in training and in the actual game - I keep hearing about J.Cole's amazing balls skills at training, but he has failed to deliver in the Red shirt so far.

That's amazing skill!!! in training practice I would say ...doesn't the coaches remembered that there is a goalkeeper in between the posts during matches...hehe... let's hope that he won't be another J.Cole *keeping fingers crossed*
