Price wise, I think it's on the wrong side of $500. I cannot tell you the exact price as not every LFS will sell at the same prices. No experience on this canister but you can Google for reviews if you like.

thanks a lot bro stormhawk...hmmm......this canister is expensive
Almost all the new filters from Eheim are expensive. Where cost is concerned, if you don't agree with it, get the older models instead.I'm using a 2026 on a 4 ft tank, was planning to upgrade to one of these Pro3 filters but the cost made me re-think.

I'm using 2 of the 2028, and I too find it hard to justify paying the extra premium to get the upgraded versions.
Someone once told me the new ones are better in electrical consumption but I think it may take 10-15 or more years for the payback.
Indeed, and maybe by that time the electrical tariffs would have risen and made the savings negligible.![]()

haha...well i think i just stick back to my 2028
I went to check on the 2076 price yesterday..is it $500 exclude medias......tht is way too expensive...10-35W power consumption compare to 2028 20w doesnt have any better electrical saving too...unless it uses solar powered... :P
The media will set you back by at least another $50, thus making it an expensive filter. You are basically paying for the electronics display control device that they added in to the filter. Other than that it's essentially the same as the 2075, just a little bigger I think. If you're going to spend a lot of money might as well go straight for the 2080 monster.
