Since I change to Osram 36w 4 ft daylight, my plants look to be getting more pale. Anyone use that before?

Another thing i notice on the transparent plastic sheet on the FL light is yellowish due to the heat source from the tubes, could this reduce the light intensity?

Nature Chan told me that OSRAM light are in the 6000K region and Arcadia Freash water Light are in the 7500K region thus OSRAM lights are slightly yellow tinted... Arcadia on the other hand is in the Green/Blue spectum... Elbiru PL tube sold at Nature are 8000K

If you drop by Nature Aquarium, go to the big demo tank facing the front door. The front light holder has got 2 different tube fitted. if you lift up the light holder, you can compare the light spectum side by side, the diff is very clear! The left is OSRAM (abit Yellowish) and Right is Elbiru 8000K (white).

    Squall,
I doubt that the plants turning pale is due to your lights. Is there any changes like fert, temp etc in your tank? I assume you changed 36W arcadia to 36W Osram.

And yes, the chared plastic sheet would deter some of the lights but I dun think it will do much damage. What you can try is you could remove the sheet temp and see if there's any difference.
    Cheers!!

Actually the problem is due to my CO2 running out.(the gauge reading actually drop to zero without my notice) And yes the chared sheet will not affect the lighting as i just ask Bioplast at boon heng last friday.
