But its not doing well at all.. it was half dead before i planted. sigh.
They are quite difficult to deal with. And they need sufficient CO2 and lights

yes, i agree. after planting it for 2 weeks. no progress whatsoever... trimmed my plants twice already.. didiplis not growing at all..
I think they do better when planted emersed, not really a fast grower when submersed.

looks like thats going to be difficult.
DD should grows well with mid lighting (2+ to less than 3watts per gal) when you provide higher wattage, they turn red.. but it also has to depend on the position of the plants, some lighting fixture have dark areas (especially when using PL, simply because the light tube doesn't cover the length of the tank, this is where FL tube is much better in. Also, your tank temperature and fertilization is in play too - Simon
