Any rocks, coral or carbon filters in your tank?
I'm having problems in controlling my PH at 6.2~6.5 as it will go up within hours. Last night I adjust my PH from 6.2 this morning it became 6.6. Is there a good way to stabilize the PH? I think due to the fluctuation some of my shrimps died. I'm really worried. This wasn't noted to me until I got a PH meter to monitor it. Can someone advise me? BTW I'm keeping CRS.

I do have carbon filters, no rocks or coral chips, but i have mini fissidens tied on pebbles.
How long has your carbon filters been in the tank? Would advise to remove carbon filters as they will leak out the 'bad stuffs' they absorb after some duration.. If I am not wrong...

active carbon may actually increase pH in small amount.

CRS are able to adapt to ph 5.5 - 6.5. Even at 6.6 they would not die overnight.
Some other stuffs might be causing their deaths.
