Are you looking for glass tank or acrylic tank? The cost may differ.

A rough price guide for 2ft black-rimmed acrylic tanks like GEX will be from $20 to $30 or so, depending on the store. I believe Sea View's price will probably be in this range.
Glass tanks seem to cost more these days, depending on the type of glass used. If you want those tanks with special glass then you should look at the Merchant section.
Ask for a quote then you can budget yourself.

If cost is a factor and you don't mind the condition of the tank, then buying 2nd hand might be cheaper, albeit riskier.

But got to take more care and not scratch it. Why not try 2nd hand glass one?
Keep a look out in the Aquarium Ads section, at times may have quite good condition one going for less than $20.

Brand new? If it's brand new then the price is acceptable, else too expensive. Glass tank brand Exx (forgot name) 2 feet only $3x at seaview. Do look around. Ans optiwhite 2 feet 6x if you like nicer yet practical priced tank

Personally, I will not as I got my second 2 feet glass tank for 15 from somewhere else. On other hand, I was willing to spend petrol dollars to hunt down that price So I may have spent more on gas than I saved!
