Started my shrimp keeping journey in office with a 20cm cube tank keeping low grade CRS and upgraded to a 1 feet cube within 3 months
Now after my CO's approval , I have just setup a 2 feet tank in the living room.

    Equipment are as follows:
    - 2 feet x 15" x 15" 8mm tank with cabinet (~80L of water)
    - Eheim 2026 canister filter with Eheim Substrate pro, ADA Bio Rio and Biohome+
    - Hailea 150A chiller
    - 2 feet T8 LED light
    Soil: Benibachi with fulvic grain
Flora: Driftwoods with mini Christmas moss or US Fissidens, hornworts, Tiger lily and Marsilea Hirsuta in the foreground

Under the Benibachi soil which has fulvic grain and I added BT-9 and ADA bacter ball as well as crushed mineral rock and Boneowild Bebi. [I know I am very Kiasu ]

Planning to do weekly 4L (5%) water change and add BT-9, Microlift Special blend, Mosura Mineral plus and Gravidas.
Also dosing Seachem Excel (liquid CO2) on alternate days to help the plants as they are acclimatising to the new environment.

    Current parameters:
    PH: Between 6.1 to 6.2
    GH: 4
    Temp: Set at 24 Deg

Do let me know if you have suggestions to improve my setup.

Thanks. I am switching it on only at night just in case the plants vie for oxygen with my shrimps.

2026 canister is in the cabinet and chiller is on the left side behind the mirror.
Added very thick insulators for the pipes.

Nothing special about the pipings, only added the insulators.
Inlet J-pipe (attached with Gush mesh from GC with added sponge) -> Eheim 2026 -> Haliea 150A -> rainbar

    Re: [Gryphon] My shrimp journal

Did some modifications to my Haliea 150A chiller to use external temperature probe/sensor instead of the original one which measures the internal water tank of the chiller.
All thanks to the help from the various bros I have approached for assistance. Just want to share with other bros who are interested in this DIY. The modification took me less that 20min.

The external temperature probe/sensor was purchased from Sim Lim Tower (NOT Sim Lim Square) B1. It is the shop near the escalator, just ask if they sell Fox temperature controllers.
Bros here have successfully used 2 similar models (same price), FN-200N's replacement temperature probe which has a long metal probe/sensor or a NTC based plastic temperature probe/sensor. I have bought the latter, picture as shown below.

First remove the front panel of the Haliea 150A chiller by pulling from the bottom of the panel.

Next use your fingers (both hands will be easier) to reach behind the display panel to locate 2 tabs and press them down and push out the front panel.

The 2 tabs which I am refering to are circled below.

You can see that there is a pair of wires (red and black) which is connected to the internal water tank's temperature probe/sensor. Disconnect the connector (circled below) and attach the external temperature probe/sensor to it (attach to the end that is connected to the display panel). To attach the external temperature probe/sensor to the connector, you can use soldering iron to solder the points together.
Note that for the NTC based plastic temperature probe/sensor, you need to connect the wire with white words to the red wire and the other plain black wire to the black wire.

You can calibrate your chiller to match your tank's temperature by pressing and hold the Up and Down arrows together. Maximium is +1.5Deg and -1.5Deg

    Re: [Gryphon] My shrimp journal

WOah! Thank you for sharing. I always wanted to try diy the themostat for my Hs28a. Do you know if the above method is also applicable to HS28a or the CL300? Your write up is quite detail and you made it sound easy but for a noob like me to do it will take super long and i am afraid that i might spoil my chiller?

    Thanks anyway!
