Hi, have always been keeping all sorts of fish since young. Managed to breed some discus way back in 1984 but given up 2 years later due time constraint. Now that I have time, I am interested in having a go at keeping altum angels...wasted some $$$ with no success. A friend introduced me to this site for tips so here I am. Hope to be successful on my next try...

The angels sold as altum in the hobby is suspected, at least by some Europeans as not being true "altums". If you like wild Angels then perhaps you should consider breeding Pterophyllum leopoldi.
