    Hi guys, i just started a shrimp tank a week ago. my shrimps are doing well. however i noticed there is some slimy things slithering on my driftwood. i sure it is not shrimplets... can it be snail? i noticed there is some snail in my tank... i have took them out alr... so, any of u guys noe wats the slimy thing?

    Thanks! it is really small n i dont have high-end cameras...
    i think the slimy thing is Planaria, flatworms! from the page, it says If you split it, it will regenerate and you will end up having 2 planaria. n i just splited it into like many pieces!!!

    You can try searching the forum for solutions on how to remove them. Some bro has some DIY trap for getting rid of planaria. Better act fast, planaria are quite an eyesore!

    Just net them out when u see them.. Reduce feeding and most probably they will disappear.

    They are so small, i suppose will need a special net?

    shrimp net will do. There's no planaria net.

    I will suggest a Badis Badis. The red stripe fish at 1.5 cm is not going to threaten your shrimps as they only go after the planaria, seed crusteans. I have had them for a while before my tank went bad due to bacteria bloom.
    However, please take note that they are very picky about food and refuse to eat any flake or dry food.
