Decided to upgrade my current Gex 300 to a Gex 600. this time with Arcadia submersible and remote controlled on/off. see blog for detailed write up

New GEX Setup

1. GEX Slim 600 (L60cm x W20cm x H25cm)- $45
2. Two GEX Turbo fan (largest size) - $60 each ($120)
3. One GEX Large air pump (red, 2 outlet) - $30
4. Two Sander Wooden air diffuser - $2 each ($4)
5. Two soundtech digital remote controller adaptor - $56.90
6. One Belkin concealable 8 way gang - $69
7. Two BlueLounge cable box - $49 each ($9

8. Two Arcadia White LED Submersible - $42 each ($84)
9. One GEX Aquarium Soil 4kg - $20
10. Budgeted Canister filter including media - $300 (will buy next week)

Total = $826.90

Haha, don't understand why use $120 worth of fan instead of a chiller

Because i got no place to put the chiller, running cost is high and most importantly i dont want the chiller to emit hot air at my dining table.imagine having warm air at the feet for dinner guest. lol

i think 1 fan is good enough to cool the tank..using 2 fan will make you top up more water..
your scape is quite simple and the nana look abit too big for your setup..anyway is just my 2cents of opinion

Your Budget i think more than enough to do a ADA setup for your tank size.
However, many of us got different preference as to what we like and do.
Lets not look too much into the matter and keep close to this project and how it turns out to be.

ADA? cannot be lah. the filter and glass pipes already blow past this budget. the pipes alone are already around 400. once i am ready, i will definitely do a nice ADA.

thanks for the comment bro crankcam, i didnt really planned for the scape just the equipment. topping up is no problem, someone else will top up diligently for me ;-). i planned to buy some books and read up before really going into the plants. the current one is just more of a try out.
