We are going to give a talk at the upcoming Gardening Bazzar at Hortpark. Below is the details

Talk: Indoor Gardening using LED Grow Lights
Date: 17 September 2011
Time: 3pm to 4pm
Venue: Fruit Room
Speaker : Alfred Ang

Synopsis:
Plants need light for photosynthesis – a process that converts light
energy to chemical energy. The photosynthesis happens inside the plant
cell structure known as called chloroplasts. Inside the chloroplast,
there are tiny pigments called Chlorophyll. The Chlorophyll pigment
absorbs only RED and BLUE lights to form chemical energy for the
photosynthesis process. Unlike most broadband grow light systems, LED
grow lights use only RED and BLUE lights. Therefore LED grow lights are
the most energy efficient grow light systems. LED grow light is also
more compact. The improved brightness and reduced cost of LED grow
lights have made LED grow lights the most promising candidate for indoor
gardening and farming.

Just to check, is your LED lighting products more for Aquatic plants or Garden plants?

I guess the question would be does it strong enough to penetrate the water.

so it is a 150 watts light using only 368watt?
Any no in terms of lumens?

It is 36W and energy efficient. Designed in US, made in Taiwan.

High luminous.

For plant by right we should talk about PAR not lumens because that what plant see. Lumens is what human see.

The conversion only apply for the brand in the table. So your LED light will have different constant.

Fantastic, Very nice Idea. How much grow lights effected on plants and how they are reliable.
Please help me with detail. I am new to indoor gardening.
