The temperature depends on your ambient temperature . Have to admit it that fan can only bring 1-2degree. It is good for growing moss

27 probably is the best you can get. You need Chiller to get lower temperature

Re: how to cool water with fan

In the morning I can get as low as 26.2 C using two fans. During rainy day, i can get 25.4 C! Throughout the day, I can get around 26.8 C with tank covered closed! If I open the cover I can get around 26.4. But, I want to maintain it at 26C or 25.5 C at all times which is V. difiicult to achieve with fans. Mine is palnted tanks which should have been without covered!!!!! I got those fan that use aluminium blade-AC version. You can get a real strong wind just like your standing fan. The PC fan is too weak. Second, if your tank is covered , you need to make quite a bit of modification, to dissipate the heat from the light- that's the major source of heat. I used handheld butane torch, to create holes around the light and cut out portion of light covered to cool off the light with fan. Also, need to crate holes so that the air can flow out as if without covered. Thinking hard whether to get chiller or not.
