You do not need the breeding tank to seperate the berried females. They will not eat their offsprings.
Can't seem to find the babies today.![]()
And shrimps seem very lethargic, not much movement...

Woohooo.... nice!
Mine are still growing as I bought them small. Hopefully... will get to see some babies soon too!

Nice tank you have there!
Next time you will be poisoned and get higher grade CRS
I was using IQ3 for fire red shrimps then got myself a Iceprobe chiller for it and managed to go down to 24-23
Hey, thanks, but what is a ice probe chiller and where to get one? how much is one? I wish i can get high grade prettier looking shrimps but i also do not wish for them to die on me because of heatstroke...
one shrimp DIED!!

It's a TEM chiller but very silent and small and I must say very suitable for our IQ3 because I went through all the options of chiller and none fits.
I bought it from Reef Depot last month http://www.reefdepot.sg/AddProduct.asp?ProdID=1
Anyway if you are interested in it, I am selling it because got too poisoned and now starting a much bigger tank![]()

Hey Kermit,
Sad to hear about the one that went to shrimp heaven. I do not put chiller and my CRS seems to be doing ok (hmm.... ). The colour may not be as rich as those that have chillers but I still want to have a low, low maintenance tank. Usually, they don't swim around but just busy picking up stuff everywhere here and there.
Jialuvgr,
Out of curiosity, what would be the price of the chiller? Can PM me if price cannot be discussed in the forum.
Thanks!
Just to share on the browning of plants, I've kept alot of mini fissidens, US fissidens, Subwassertang, mini lettuces, frogbits, duckweeds and moss balls. I've experienced it with PL lighting on a 2ft tank and I've changed to T5 and there was improvement. Lightings do play apart. On top of that I used borneo wild recharge and Lush to enhance them.
This 2 products I recommend to use as they helped my plants to have that nice green lush colour and they are growing very well. Can see results in 2~3weeks. It's very good for low lighted tank as this supplements help plants to grow better and it's shrimp safe. Hope this helps those who have browning of your plants. If those who want the plants to grow faster use warm light colours abit yellowish, if not white lights will also do.
Hi Zenith
thanks for your reply, but do i use both Borneo wild recharge and Lush or either one will do? Can i get them at Nanyang Seaview? I did leave my Pl light on for 48hours straight and i see some green tips from the plants...which means they are growing but at the same time, i also see algae forming on the glass...how to strike that balance???

Hey Kermit13sg, send me an sms @ 93875754. Would like to share some info with you

For algae problem, is unavoidable. Dun over dose the liquid nutrients. Don't expose your tank under direct sunlight. You can keep some snails, ottos or yamato shrimps. If not u can install UV prefilter to prevent algae bloom.
