    Hello everyone,

Just started working in my office and realized I need some life and colour to my work desk. And the building's awesomely cold air-conditioning has further urged me to set up a small tank! The tank has been cycled for two weeks.

Tank Specifications: 30 cm by 20 cm by 23 cm
Lighting: 11 W Aqua Zonic Lamp for 8 hours a day
    Filter: Hanging filter
    CO2 and fertilizers: NONE
    Temperature: ~23-25 deg C
    Black construction paper as background

Flora: Cryptocoryne wendtii 'brown', mini anubias, java moss (on DW), spiky moss on mesh and two rocks, star moss on pebbles and the foreground plant which looks like ET (need help with ID)
Fauna: Planning to add 6 Boraras brigittae and shrimps (still deciding, any suggestions?)

(apologies for the reflection, lousy camera)

Please feel free to comment and give your opinions!

    Cheers,
    Desmond

Thank you all! After spending hours at GC and C328, I decided on getting 9 'Galaxy' instead of the Boraras brigittae. I feel that the 'Galaxy' will provide a different colouration to the tank (if I add RCS, Sakura or Fire Red) as opposed to the reddish coloured B. brigittae. Galaxy should do fine with these shrimps right?

Haha, I am not planning on CRS yet as I do not have the expertise and experience with them . Had the urge to just buy some grade A and throw them in though . Looking at probably RCS, Sakura or Fire Red as starters as I plan to keep it low tech and low maintenance with only the usual water change or top-up and then let the air con work its wonders.

rather to use fire reds to cycle the tank, its to test its waters.
colourful is a fish shop located at west coast opp. west coast shopping centre near west coast CC.
Sells shrimps at relative cheap prices.

Hi, test water? So does it mean that if I put in a few fire red and they survive, I can try putting in CRS? can the two types co-habitat in the same tank?

Yea, that is how you can try if you do not want to spend on test kits. Yes they can cohabitat in the same tank
