I'm setting up a new tank of 30cm cube, having see so many bros here set up cube tank, decide to try out one. I'm wondering for such a cube setup, usually what type of lighting will be sufficient to cater for planting and not too strong for the shrimps.

I think it depends on what kind of plants you're intending to keep. I'm using a clip on t5 15w for my 30cm cube with shrimps and plants like java fern, UG,HC, Xmas Moss, Weeping Moss, Pelia and mini Pelia, and anubias nana petite.Shrimps are fine with the light as are most of my plants except the HC which is growing a little upwards, suggesting the light may not be sufficient.

I plan to either keep E.tenulles or glosso. But which type is better with the shrimps, was thinking to plant hair grass but not sure whether the requirements of the light enough or should I have cold water to plant hair grass.
