    wanted to ask where can find the cheapest type of sand for planting?

    So far, Petmart offers the cleapest price on Seachem flourite. Never buy other sand from them but their price is quite competitive.

    I used to buy normal aquarium sand at around serangoon north. About 10Kg for S$10. Forgot about the brand. But try to get those sand already pre-wash so you will have less trouble to wash the sand.

    I'm going for the sand + base fertilizer method too.
    Corydoras: 2 x adolfoi, 1 x agassizii, 5 x albino aeneus, 3 x arcuatus, 4 x atropersonatus, 3 x axelrodi, 6 x axelrodi variante B, 4 x caudimaculatus, 5 x duplicareus, 8 x goldlines, 3 x kanei, 3 x loretoensis, 6 x melini, 4 x panda, 6 x schwartzi, 3 x similis, 4 x sterbai, 4 x surinamensis, 5 x trilineatus, 4 x tukano & 3 x zygatus

    RIP 1 x adolfoi, 1 x albino aeneus & 2 x panda

    Sorry, I don't really know the pricing but I do know that they are not too expensive. Most LFS carries them namely, NA Nature. Maybe you can give Chan a call.

    gerald, u can try florist or orchards for sand.. One thing i observed, fine sand trap dirt and can be very messy looking after awhile
