Thanks bro. It takes 4 months from freshly tied to achieve this in a low tech tank. I believe if in high tech co2, fert and chiller, should be able to accelerate faster and better.

Thanks bro. The e tenullus itself does not need strong light and will go well in most cases, so no surprise. In low tech, they creep slower and for my case i trim away runners so the i have only the few nice mother plants, while keeping the front bare for me to view the shrimps

The blyxa japonica were taken from my 4ft T5 light, fert and co2 injected tank. When relocated to this 2ft, 10-20% leaves were shed during adaptation. So the key is always plant more and be prepare to weed away some. In a low tech, everything is slow, so the blyxa grows very very slow. If you check out my apisto hideout posted in the cichlids section, it even do ok in 13w pl light for my 1ft low tech. It is precisely the reason why i like low tech minimal trimming and no messing around with the soil

Glad you like them as well. So far this 2ft is mainly sakura and fire red, 2x oto, 3 x ember tetras to clear any pests and 1 x very tiny starlight L183.
